Another inter-promotional PPV filled with "dream matches" looms ...

Just as common as interleague play in baseball these days is the idea of the inter-promotional PPV ... Remember when we could only dream about matches like Ric Flair vs. Hulk Hogan in the 1980s or Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. The Sandman in the 1990s? Now we get Super-Fantastic encounters like Sabu vs. Cena and Edge vs. RVD!

Man, sometimes I think dreams are better left in our fantastical minds ...

Wake me up, and next time I'll still be The Wrestling Mark.

The worst part about the whole thing is that it looks like it's going to be this way for quite some time. Most people were assuming (and hoping!) that this would all be straightened out after Vengence, with ECW beginning to focus on it's own wrestlers (oh, wait. They're called "rebels" now. I guess you can't get away from "Sports Entertainment" no matter how much you want to). However, with NBC Universal on Vince's ass to keep putting Raw wrestlers on the ECW show, this isn't the case.
